Hey Folks
The trailer is all loaded up as is the trunk of the car. We will finish off packing today and be set to roll tomorrow evening. I will wait around until Janet is finished work in the hope that when she gives her notice at work they will just let her walk. Janet has booked airfare for the 14th of January but would rather drive out with me tomorrow. We can only hope though, I'm pretty sure they will want her to stray around for the last two weeks.
The travel plan is to stop in Kenora for the night tomorrow and then drive to Regina the next day. Over night there and head out to Calgary for New Year's Eve with my family there. Probably stay through New Year's Day and head to the boat the following day. Then the work will begin. The boat is winterized and only partially heated right now so the first full day will be just getting her somewhat liveable. I will also check out the job opportunities that are about as I will have to make a few bucks to help get the boat ready. I have a maintenance Log that will get well used over the next few months as we do the suggested survey repairs and start up-grading our home. Will use this forum to keep all who are interested up to date on our lives as the work progresses and we start making plans to sail away.
